I'm confused by something that I thought I had read here, something about customer-facing managers not being part of this. Am I mistaken? I hope so because a lot of good people are looking forward to taking advantage of this generous offer.

It was the post by @lve that caused me confusion.
If you are getting the offer then you've already seen paperwork about it. If you've not seen paperwork.... you're not getting the offer.
