By what I can see, many of those at or near retirement age is being sent to Infosys. Is Verizon doing this on purpose because they know these people would not want to go and retire instead? That way there is a bunch of people that Verizon will not have to pay the package to. We have been told that those offered the sixty weeks package may not be able to take it because Verizon would want to keep them. Is this crazy or what?

So to get the STI do we need to be an Infosys employee till Dec 31? I know that we have to accept the offer, but not clear how long we have to stay at Infosys

Shankar just sent out a communication that there are some changes for those going to Infosys: Obviously there has been a lot of anger, confusion and pushback. STI was going to be paid out @ 67% of target, and prorated to the number of weeks on VZ payroll. That will now be paid out at 100% for the year. The other big change is access to VZ retirement healthcare coverage: There will now be a grace period of one year: So those who are rebadged and have to decide to retire with little notice and no pay can at least test the waters with Infosys and not be forced into a decision so quickly. A coupe small steps, but it is something.
This is so crazy and looks so one sided for Verizon and Infosys has anyone thought about investigating the CIO of Verizon to see if he is possibly getting kick backs or bribes from Infosys to make this deal? Or did the Verizon board of directors dictate these moves to the new CEO and the CIO. I think this CEO did this butcher job to Ericcson last. How health Is Ericcson now? Ut oh Verizon! Well sending american jobs to an Indian company doesn't put you warm in our hearts anyway. Only a matter of time before you are boycotted over this anyway.
