Just a quick poll: Do you trust Verizon HR and why.

HR is neither the Human Resources of old, nor Personnel of the past. HR are the 'shoeflies' or 'Internal Affairs' department. The are the spies in our midst, and the incompetents in the company's way. What it is that they actually do, I have no idea anymore. One of the best Orwellian business buzz words du jour is "HR Business Partner". Now come on, that's funny. A true oxymoron.
Not at all. I once reported someone who was proud to be consistently stealing from the company and HR seemed to want to investigate me just for reporting it.
HR in the Philly market is suspect at best. I was let go while on Vacation/Honeymoon due to looking for opportunities outside my region. Shady management at best...P.S. it was personal and political.
HR in ANY company is there to protect the company. They are never on your side unless it happens to also be the right thing in terms of them not getting sued.
When I was laid off last year, I got a lot of information that was wrong. I don't think it was intentional -- just too much to do at the time.
Depends. HR has made horrible decisions in the past.
They are hired to protect the company 1st.
no.
I trust them to hose me over.
Nope dumb question
No way!
Not Really
Sold me down the river to Infosys
HR is there to protect the company so why would you trust them?
It depends on what for
I wouldn’t trust HR to be on my side unless I was the side best for the company
I wouldn’t trust anything my management team or coworkers said either so that may not say much.
F to the No
Hell no!!
Never trust any HR department in any company ever.
No, they are here to protect management. So, no, no trust at all.
