Just curious as to how other offices/lines are handling this. I am part of the Mortgage Division in the Midwest and morale is completely down the toilet here.

There is no sense of job security anywhere in Wells. This 5-10% layoffs in the next 3 years is daunting and nobody knows where it will hit next. Nobody laughs or anything anymore and it is so quiet in the office you can hear a pin drop. When somebody gets on the phone, everyone can hear the conversation because of the quiet. Its stressful and ridiculous that Sloan would say that and just keep everyone wondering what will happen with them. Everyone has families, mouths to feed, bills to pay. The majority of the team I am on is in another site with only few in the WDM Jordan Creek building so security there? I think not. I wish they would just do it now and cut it now instead of making the sores fester with wonder. Perhaps this is their way of making people uncomfortable enough to find other jobs instead of getting that severance package because part of his 5-10% includes those that quit before they are laid off.
I’m surprised to hear that Des Moines employees are fearful and that morale is down. I’ve always imagined it to be unicorns and rainbows there.
Surely EVERYONE that works at Wells Fargo as an internal employee right now is in fear of being laid off. Learn what you can and take those skills to a new job if necessary.
Here in Illinois, it feels like they are trying to s--- the soul out of everyone
Left Wells last month from NY offices. Morale was low all around...I was lucky enough to leave and not sit around waiting for the hammer to drop. I lasted 6 years there and expected to stay possibly my whole career (that’s how much I liked being there). Until Sloan, Shrewsberry and the other “executive” id--ts leave, the company will continue to go backwards, (Still baffles me how Sloan got the CEO job when he was the boss of Carrie Tolstedt) Apart from them, the majority who are there are good hard working folks. If your reading this, I wish you nothing but the best, keep your heads up! Life is short, don’t be afraid to find greener pastures, it’s out there you just have to look and keep trying.. Don’t stick around based on severances unless it’s truly worth it for you. They have changed all of those packages for the better of the company, so you will get only 2 weeks per year you are there. I hope one day the executives realize how to make customers and employees happy at the same time.. That’s not a hard concept and would make Wellsfargo the once thriving bank it once was..

I'm in San Fracisco office and morale here in my floor is down. Everyone is afraid and don't want to talk openly. People are in a resigned state and want this to get over soon. Company is laying off people in US and shipping all the jobs to India and Philippines.
What is PVSI?
I am at PVSI as well and can confirm that our team is fairly depressed with everything is in the news. We always try to stay positive but it's hard as every day a new piece of bad news gets published. I know it was a couple of runaway divisions that caused the problem but we all pay for it.
Morale is definitely low in PVSI; also a lot of people are on leave of absence. I have never known so many people to go out on an extended leave. Not sure the reasons for some, but others were driven by work stress related health issues.
Most people in my office (Long Beach) are detached and clueless. There is a bit of 'everything will turn out to be good' mentality and folks are just brushing off structural issues we have.
There will be a lot of surprised people once the hatchet comes down.
Morale is so bad we got to work with a corpse in the building for several hours this week while passerby’s accidentally saw the man laying dead on the floor

I'm in San Francisco...morale is horrendous. Could leadership care LESS about its employees??? We feel abandoned... no one is talking to staff... NO ONE. Work is in holding pattern awaiting layoff announcements. This never-ending limbo is inhumane.
My business unit at Wells Fargo continues to work with the "business as usual concept". We are going through a lot of changes and reorganizations and plan to be with the company for many, many years to come, helping to keep them in business and providing the customers with our excellent technical and business support.
I’m in the Southeast, and we are tired of walking on eggshells. So over the waiting - just pull the bandaid off already.
Most are tired of the never ending re-orgs, new managers, managers that disappear in the night, long hours with no job security. Many are hoping for severance packages so they can get a better job
I’m in the Midwest. State rhymes with eyeuhhwah. Our department is merp. Morale has always been down here. But finding out that the Indians our doing our job now has us in fear. A lay-off is in the air. I’ve been through it before here.
Even the managers are worried in our map center. The majority of people "Just want it done already". They are tired of sitting on eggshells.

I’m at San Francisco headquarters, where we are not allowed to talk about the scandals, frauds, impending layoffs, or anything else that could be construed as negative. Everyone is upbeat, optimistic, and sneaking down to the alley behind the building to call their headhunters.
