Interesting that this news was timed to coincide with the biggest change in Wall Street's broad sectors since 1999 which happened Monday, with a reshuffle of the technology and media sectors. Last year, S&P Dow Jones and MSCI had announced major changes in the Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) that broadened the old telecommunication sector and renamed it to communication services sector, effective Sep 24, 2018.
That way if the stocks freak out based on their actions they can blame it on the stock market reshuffle.
AGILE is AWFUL and only works for smaller projects. Not large systems like we have in VZ. They use the excuse of 'AGILE' to not document, not fully test, not check with all integrated systems for impact, etc. We keep slamming in junk software all for the sake of 'AGILE' and it's causing more problems than it's solving. Oh ya - also causing 70-80 hour weeks consistently (with NO OT!) because they keep throwing verbal (not written!) design changes at us and there's always a lot of unforeseen impact because they don't take the time to plan, document, and discuss with all impacted applications. This buyout is my ticket out of this AGILE HE--!.
Infosys is the worse company one can work for. Verizon got the biggest tax break and shafted US and American workers by outsourcing the jobs to Infosys. Hans the hatchet man destroying another American company.
Crock of sht but vz is a sinking ship, infosys will honestly give you a chance to get out of the telecom death spiral
