I've seen this mentioned in several places and I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it.
Is it true I can be rejected even if I accept the offer? Then why even give me an opportunity to do it? Just to be cruel?
Dangle it in front of those of us who really want it and then take it away?

27 in the FAQ. Really Nanking me wonder because almost my whole group is going to take it who gets the short straw to stay and how soon do they get the boot when the outsource or reorg the work and get nothing because the volunteered and obviously don’t want to work here anyways.
I'm pretty sure this is more targeted at older/higher paid employees. If you're not high salary they probably are not going to agree. Also, I think they sent it to everyone on 'select' teams (whatever that means) not just low flyers.
business needs some people.so its like they need a pre-approval from you the ln they will use it whenever they want before june.
Lets say they offer the buyout to your entire department and everyone in your department tries to accept the buyout. They need at least some of you to stick around to meet the needs of the business. So, some of you won’t get to take the buyout.
