IMHO, I think each home should get it's own antenna of sorts, a capability of wirelessly beaming a signal back and forth to and from computers and other devices within that home from some base station within the wall of that very home. Perhaps, one day, in the not-too-distant future, such a capability of getting antennae even closer to the end user may not sound so crazy, so sci-fi, but instead may be so common a reality, that it becomes perfectly normal and it's hard to believe there was ever a time when signals had to be sent great distances, putting their arrival in jeopardy?
Its all about marketing.....5G has no killer app and in fact, there is no practical need for it other than it does sound s-xy....Google it.
Can someone refresh my memory? I seem to remember that the city was going to sue Verizon for not fulfilling their FIOS commitment. This was during the last strike. Then the strike was settled and I heard nothing else about it.
There will be an antenna every 40 feet, or close to it (every few blocks at the least). I believe that if they continue to pursue the 5g route, it will bankrupt what will be left of this company within 3 years. THe antenna locations need to be extremely dense, people already have FIOS, why would they want a beam shot directly at their house and need to have something at/on their window to receive the signal....not me. Instead of improving on the great product we already have....we'll just jump onto 5g and abandon the rest. And I don't believe that they will get as nearly many takers as they need to make this a profitable product.
True i think vz 5g will end up a giant failure on their part and others like t-moblie will surpass verizon at the finish line,and people will say ,yeah verizon was once a long time ago a great company,but now ghey are like GE,all because of arrogance in the excutive levels of verizon,,short for the long run
I don't believe 5G will work as well as they believe it be in metropolitan areas.....too much concrete....to much metal...too much granite and marble....The signal will be killed unless there's an antenna every 40 feet.
Who knows what verizon does,i live in brooklyn and some vz guys knocked on my door like 3-4 years ago and said they were going to wire my block and i still have no fios,so forget verizon im a stay with spectrum,..verizon works half assed backwards
