I went back through this board to see when these outsourcing rumors started. It looks like they started around the time of Hans becoming CEO. First, it was IBM, then it switch to InfoSys. I doubt anyone would have known four months ago what Hans plans were, even Hans! I would be surprised to see a new CEO make too many drastic moves four months into their tenure, but maybe I'm wrong. I am waiting until Monday to see if there's anything. If there's nothing on Monday, then the new rumor will be Friday, and then end of October, etc... Like any major corporation, we face RIF's every year, and it's stressful. Rumor mongering doesn't help. Good luck all!

You think this $hit is Hans decision? Like all layoffs, consulting firms do the legwork and determine whobgets cut. Leadership merely signs off on it.

Reorganization going on. I was laid off Thursday after 20+ years
It’s not going to be pretty for IT but we have all poured our hearts and souls into this company so I hope it works out as best as possible for the groups here. It’s us against big business. VDSI folks know are experiencing the sht we have gone through every year since 2000. I hope this at least gives some compassion all around

Verizon has rebadged in IT MFaas was outsourced to IBM.
My money is on "not good" news on Monday. Things have been constantly going downhill for many years at Verizon. (I was rif'd in 2015.)

This post is dumb. No one is outsourcing except for the NOC for wireless. It's a grab to sell off VZ.

Literally anything could be going down. Why do you assume it's a rebadging? Verizon has never rebadged that I'm aware of.
