First of all I was a VDSI employee who been spend 7 golden years there. We cannot see such employee friendly pay Masters anywhere in India. We don't even know we had that much of freedom though we worked late nights lot of time. Freedom in terms of technology, ideas, methodology, work life balance and also in extra curricular as well. OMG we can dance, sing, do sports, small team lunches, big team builds, t-shirts, bags, awards, rewards, what else we need from this IT, we got everything from this concern with respect. But I been hearing lot of news about buyout, layoff which made me so sad for both management and employee. If we are feeling hard chips in life then definitely we should put our hard work to settle this and move upwards. So all employees please don't panic I know we are all so capable and can easily stand on this market. But one small request, while picking up new company please choose it better.....becauae u will not verizon's comfort especially in service based :-)

agreed, if one thing is taught here it is to be selfish with your future and sometimes during those long days, take the time to keep an eye on your own career path. We are all expendable in corporate eyes, they don't care, never have. I always thought that Verizon would have to kick me out with a severance but they have pulled a fast one that a lot of us didn't anticipate with the rebadge. Kudos to Hans for being a true scumbag but it's still not too late to parlay the rebadge time into your own future. Take advantage of this soft rif/work for severance time.
