Slide decks are going around. Directors found out today and managers will likely "officially "find out tomorrow. 3 Weeks Separation per year of service capped at 60 weeks, 2018 STI paid at 100%, 3 weeks of medical benefits per year of service, capped at 60 weeks. No word yet on what tenure is required (if any) to receive the offer.

You lowlife Life Lowell and his cronies who are in leadership now must be tried in criminal court for scamming and misleading employee for their personal benefit. Glad I was let go in Dec 2015.
I am sure most IT thats required to keep AWS servers running will be rebadged. if they are let go , the servers die in a month. and this is most of wireless.

Does anybody have any thoughts on the following:
-
Un used vacation? Paid out or not?
-
Think we will get the cash bal in addition to the lump sum?
-
This is more difficult to explain.
-Is the medical subsidy percentage to be used to calculate medical or is that percentage used against the 2006 medical cost to come up with a dollar amount.
Finance has a big meeting next week so thats when they will get the news
There is talk that some work groups will be excluded. Has anyone got any info on What work groups might be excluded? I have heard the corporate focus will be on 5G. I may be reading too much into this. But There was No mention today of any upcoming announcement nor any meetings being called next week. I am Worried my work group could be excluded. In the mid atantic Wireline area we recently divided into core and access.

I have been victimized for this. Still going through rough times to stabilize the career & family retention. Hope everyone keep track of there interests and build your future focus. Hope to continue. May God bless you. thanking you all.
Does anyone know if this applies to VES as well?
I wonder if this will effect Wireless Corporate (non-retail) employees as well. Does anyone know? It would make sense either way, no bad press for VZ, get rid of employees that have been around forever (even if we did pour everything into this company, miss family dinners etc) The level of tenure within this company overall has always been surprising. And to think the reason for it is because they and we made it such a wonderful place to work up until about 2015 or so.
Any indication of a non-compete clause?
The level of incompetence never seems to amaze me. The are willing to let senior Management leave and think the plant will not be affected. This will be equivalent to a strike with scabs running the show. Get ready to be sold off.
12/28 won’t be paid until 1/11 paycheck
If you are worried about the impact to your 2018 taxes and are stuck with a 12/28 off payroll day, go on disability of FML for two weeks. This will push your off payroll date out into 2019.
For all of those eligible for the buyout. Levels 5 6 7v 7t will be able to find out more info Monday morning when Hans officially annnounces it. We will all be able to see the true buyout offer then. There will be a webite that will but unlocked for us to see all this information. This is concrete info told to my region today by an Exec.
Does anyone know how/if they will pay salespeople that are on comp plans. They have a base and compensation money at risk. They don’t get STI and it seems like straight salaried people will be paid STI
Heard they were told almost all will be gone in December, very few will stay til March & June. No detail on the criteria but plan on leaving in Dec. They will tell you which date you get, you cannot opt for one. They were not given any info about future reduced severance.
We were told the co wants as many people gone on the 12/28/18 date
The details in this thread have been corroberated. Associates and wireless retail are excluded from package. 1 year or more service, 3 weeks pay per year, never return. Severance will be reduced in early 2019 for those impacted after this offer.
Cobra is for 18 months, will I have the option to continue for the entire 18 months if the company only covers 7 ?
I’m guessing the 12/28 date would be paid in 2019, thus avoiding huge tax implications for the year
Any talk about IT being excluded sounds fishy. Even with the Outsourcing that could happen I would make more sense to get retirement eligible people off the books beforehand.
Both confirming directors have no mention of - future severance plans. Interesting.
Never come back as contractor? That is a terrible turn of events. Although, I guess can come in as subcontractor route, as the only option. That always costs vz more money, but not suprising HR would not care. Unless they are saying can not even go through a sub.
The "update" thread says IT to be outsourced and excluded from buyouts.

60 cap is tricker decision, but it is what ot is.
Is this for certain levels of management and certain orgs
any confirmation on off the payroll dates? would be nice to roll into 2019 due to the tax implications.
Any info on off the payroll dates and when buyout/sti/vacation will be paid out?
