Do we expect to hear anything on more store closings? Somehow I find it strange that we are hearing about all these cuts in positions and in hours, and yet nothing is being announced on possible store closings.
Is it calm before the storm on that front or are there really no plans to close more locations any time soon?
If your store is 10 miles away from another club, you should have been shut down last year. Should have never existed in the first place.
If you are in a club that’s within 10 miles of another and your club isn’t profitable I would be concerned.
The trend has been retail store closures will be at the end of 4th quarter yet before the new fiscal year begins aka announcements in January.
The trend has also been that underperforming store closures continue to happen under the radar each quarter throughout the year as well. Yet with these types of closures the market is already saturated with stores where there’s another location within 20-40 mins away.
