That's the substantive info we've heard from management.
Told us up to 26,500 will be cut within 3 years. Benefits gutted soon afterward. Then, deafening silence as we twist in the wind.
Death by a thousand cuts.

We've been loyal and hardworking through the scandals, Wells Fargo. Where are YOU when we need you???
Everyone who is an internal employee at Wells Fargo right now is "Just hanging in there", so to speak.
The way this layoff announcement has been handled illustrates perfectly the WF attitude towards employees. Make a giant splash to make Wall Street feel comfortable, and leave the people they jokingly call team members twisting in the wind.
Why do I strongly suspect the next announcement will be they’re cutting severance - again?
Because it’s how they roll.
Micro-managed to death. Everything monitored and copied. It's like having "Big Brother" perched on your shoulder. You get afraid to talk or email or make a decision. Continuous criticism in the form of coaching. (I suppose this helps the managers in their struggle to stay employed-they can show their relevance by pointing to their coaching points.) The gloom in the office was palatable. Everyone feels down. PEP teams try to help, but the whole culture at WF seems designed to beat you down. I should have taken leave to combat work related extreme depression, but soldiered on.( After the Doc put me on meds.) The reward was being informed they weren't retaining me. It was such a relief. I don't dread the mornings or hate Sunday nights any more.
Thank you for your thoughts. Perhaps we need to start a "Wells Fargo Support Group"!! Co-workers are scrambling from one area to another trying to fend off a lay off that may happen!!?!! It is chaotic!!! So what is happening in "Auto" that everyone is running to??!! It is another who knows who ...not who is qualified!!!
