If say on 12/10 you get an agreement and they assign you an off date of 12/28, and you sign and return it, how long will they let you stay? Til the 28th? Or are they going to tell you just to clean out your stuff and take the rest of the year off with pay?

Told today we would not be permitted to leave prior to 12/28, nor should we expect to use vacation days all the way through to the 28th. This is in HQ Cust Svc.

Even with a 25% discount, Verizon is still pricey. I use Ting.com. Simple and reasonable pricing.
You only lose personal days in states that don't protect workers. I won't be losing mine, have been getting annual payouts for years.

If you are still employed on Jan 1, you get 6 more days.
All out USE THEM QUICKLY.
Yes, if you any personal days left, use them now. DO NOT LOSE THEM.
I know that a lot of people who 'retired' in 2015. Some were a little really surprised that November, though everyone in BR knew that there was going to be a 1 out of 5 layoff. Everyone who was tapped was off of the payroll by 12/31. Severance pay and bonus money were not paid until the first week of February. Most worked from home within days or a week of being told that it is time to go. In the last weeks people just dropped off their badges and workbooks.

All sorts of rumors are flying now saying all sorts of things from no one is taking it to half or more are taking it.
It is funny that the stock is climbing while there is abject indifference at work all around the company , and the investor crowd have no idea what is happening or what could be coming.
From the Ericsson stories it looks like once they started pushing people out the door, their sales and stock tanked. So Hans laid off even more, and the stock and profits went down even more until he was out of a job and one of the most hated men in sweden. Then he came here.
off payroll dates are 12/28, 3/28, 6/28. However, you are free to use your vacation days up to your off payroll date instead of being paid in lieu of. Remember that you lose personal days, so make sure you take them!
