Age discrimination- AT&T employer pledge with AARP....What a joke

https://campaigns.aarp.org/employerpledge/?cmp=RDRCT-MIM-PRT-SHRMDICONF-ADVT-WORKJOBS-EMPLOYER2018-1018

I cant believe AARP allows ATT to remain on this list considering the requirements listed below.

Believe in equal opportunity for all workers, regardless of age

Believe that 50+ workers should have a level playing field in their ability to compete for and obtain jobs

Recognize the value of experienced workers

Recruit across diverse age groups and consider all applicants on an equal basis

The "high potential" list is a joke. Many of these are now directors and VP's leading our glorious company to a stock value of $29 per share.

"High potential" is DallasSpeak for "white/white-acting privelege" The right sorority in college is more important than actual technical knowledge.

I will let you in on a secret. Often job applications are only considered if the applicant is on the high potential list. The others never get thru to the hiring manager and get put in the trash bin. How many 50 year olds are on the High potential list? The ATT way.

On the corp TV loop they are say AT&T shows "leadership" in its treatment of employees & values them. I almost spit my coffee out when I saw that . As a disabled employee who has taken them to court , I can honestly say it is a LIE
