The media is already interested -- 3 hrs or not.

A walkout won’t get media attention unless you actually manage to bring operations to a halt, and a few people taking a 3-hour break won’t have any impact on anything but your severance. If you want to get media attention alert them to wrongdoing. Start a what’s wrong at Wells Fargo website and invite people to contribute confidentiality like they do here. Then when you get the goodies alert the media. Build it and they will come.

The point of the walkout is to get media attention... which will get the attention of WF execs. Shaming them through an organized walkout will send a message.

What is the point of a walkout? To let management know how you feel? They know how you feel. They don’t care. They care about their own positions. That’s it. All a walkout will do is draw a target on your back.

So you are saying a "peaceful" walk-out on our own time to voice our frustration and solidarity on what is going on is grounds for dismissal? I view it at freedom of speech and employee solidarity. And, yes, I do value my position, and appreciate my job at Wells Fargo.

I have not heard of some silly planned Walk Out attempt in my department at Wells Fargo. If you are thinking about joining in some retaliating Walk Out demonstration I encourage you not to do it. I fear you will then lose your jobs because of such behavior. Just go on as normal. Do not let some instigator of bad things bring you down with them.

None of the Wells Fargo employees will actually participate in the planned "silly" Walk Out instigated by someone. Because they really do want to still be Wells Fargo employees and not lose their jobs.

There is always someone else out there in the World ready to take your nice job if you do not appreciate it. Many employees work with no benefits at all. An hourly wage, no health benefits,

no paid vacation, no paid holiday time off, no 401K, no nothing. Just working hourly with no benefits at all so don't complain too much or you may get that type of job next.

Anyone planning on walking out can kiss their severance goodbye.

"Losers" meant the people who would just walk out on the job and not think of all the bad consequences of doing so, for themselves, not Wells Fargo. "Losers" meant they will be the losers in the long run, (probably short run) if they just walk off the job when they are supposed to be working. I suspect they will be fired shortly afterwards, or laid off. The comment made about stating one's feelings about their jobs now via the recent survey is good advice.

Too many people have been burned by false claims of anonymity in the past to trust that THIS time it will be different. Once burned, twice shy and all that.

A walkout won’t get the attention that is needed but the survey will. Unfortunately most are scared to be completely honest when answering the questions. So all roses and wonderful on the survey to make senior leaders think all is well,, then a walkout? Can’t have one without the other to speak up what we as team members are upset about.

@VNeOZYE-1alq you nailed it. This isby far the most absolute horrible company to work for. I have endured 5 years of misery working here. Now that the health benefits will s--- for next year, it just makes me want that layoff even more. Wells Fargo gives no effs about the employees. Pull the band-aid off already you crooks and let us move on with our lives.

We all want to work hard but we also want to be compensated fairly for the work we are doing. How can you be happy about your measly 1-2% pay raise when inflation is running 3-4%? You are losing ground if you are happy with that. did Sloan or the senior managers get a 1-2% pay raise? If you are new to the company, realize pay raises use to be in the 6%-10% and our benefits were much better. The company paid more of the health at costs, contributed more to the cash balance plan, a stock purchase plan where you could buy stock at a 15% discount to current market price” and much more. If you don’t take a stand now, how much does the company need to cut benefits or cut your pay before you say enough is enough? Think long and hard before deciding to not participate in the walk out because mgt has you fooled!

I understand layoffs and downsizing, but not at the cost of mismanagement and incompetency from the top! We are being let go for no given reasons and they are lining their own pockets!!!

When you are FIRED from your job for not showing up at work as scheduled, etc. then you actually are not eligible to even collect unemployment benefits. Also not eligible to collect severance pay. Who ever the trouble maker is trying to start a stupid walk out needs to "go". Go find another job somewhere else and not s--- the other loyal employees into your stupid plan.

Bad idea. Better to get laid off with severance and unemployment than fired for refusing to work.

The Wells Fargo Management will not "panic" if some of their loser employees decide to "Walk Out" on their jobs and take a break on Nov 1st between 11:00-2:00. Rather the Management will likely gather in a meeting to decide how to replace the employees who want to "Walk Out" on their jobs with other people who actually want to do those jobs. Who came up with this ridiculous idea? I want co-workers who work with me to get the job done, not "Walk Out" on the job.

The walk out is a stupid idea. Don't do it. Some people actually want to still stay in their jobs at Wells Fargo and walking out on the job is a great reason to get fired. What other job do you have lined up to replace your job at Wells Fargo if you get fired for doing a "Walk Out"? Other companies lay off their employees too you know. The grass is not always greener elsewhere. If you are still employed at Wells Fargo just be happy that you still have a steady job and are not collecting unemployment benefits that are not even enough to pay for food for a month.

This is a wonderful idea if most/all followed through. They aren’t equipped to fire everyone and give the slow hiring process, it would take many months to re-staff the place. From 11:00-2:00 on Nov 1 everyone should take a break. Mgt will panic but let them know this is because of our benefit changes, lack of meaningful pay raises and continued threats to fire people because of mgt’s incompentence

I have heard about this in the information mill. Would serve them right but if at least a majority would participate. I for one am sick of getting the shaft on any pay increases, terrible benefit package they are shoving down our throats, even at the front end level, so much has changed AND all of our reputations are tarnished just by working here. Well, pipe dream but would love to.

Please post details as they become available. I think it is time Well Fargo employees stand united and voice their frustrations in a peaceful manner with regard to how this abominable massive layoff is unfolding. The question being; will fear of losing their job security, when they are so vulnerable ,impact the walk-out and their freedom of speech?
