November & December

Is it true that they don’t do layoffs in November and December?

I was laid off in November/December last year (notified in October, last working day in November and a separation date in December)

I too am in the Mortgage Division. Wells will layoff when they want. Keep in mind most get the 60 notice. So if your laid off in December, you will most likely work until February. My best guess is a big layoff will happen in the next week or two this way people lost day would be 12/30 or 31

In home lending fulfillment, they usually do not (not in the 6 years I have been here).

Sadly, nothing is for certain though. It all depends on your line of business. Good luck.

Absolutely not. My department has always done layoffs right before Christmas.
