Tip on how to get your severance:
Remove everything from your career preference that you have as current or future interest. If your position is eliminated and you don’t apply for open positions then you’ll get your payout.
No, a new job does you id--t. That's what people do. Move on from a piece of dung job and get another. Since you need it spelled out this is how it works.
Job hunt while keeping your current job.
Go to interviews during times off or call out that you'll be late or whatever.
Get one you like and give 2 weeks notice or no notice. Your call.
Say goodbye to a company that's turned into a nightmare.
It's not that hard dude. S--- it up and quit crying.
Does your dignity and happiness pay your Bill's? Probably not.
This, I'm waiting on my severance thing is old... People still going to be saying that after 5 yrs or so? Every year that goes by is another year you have aged, another year not learning something new, another year that people will regret. Money is the root of all evil. I would rather have my dignity and happiness then a big paycheck.
Don’t count on severance they will find a way to take it from you, when they closed my store my severance was working out to be 35k as a manager. I was looking forward to a new career to take care of my family. The market manager sat me down and started a conversation that he will be placing me in a store out of state which was 45 miles from from my home. He further said that since the company is offering me a job I will loose my severance and unemployment benefits. I was forced to go to the store which took me almost 2 hrs to drive because of traffic Bridge crossing, gas and tolls not counting car maintenance amounted to over $8000 a year in expense. I was loosing income. I eventually had to resign loosing everything because it made no sense losing income or relocating from my family. I gave up my all my years of service . So my message is don’t count on it they will find a way to take it.
Waiting on my severance pay. Been here way to long. Hoping it happens sooner than later.
Sorry not leaving until I get my severance check. Then I will leave happily ever after.
