Opinion: All the transferred employees will be fired by end of year. Infosys works on race to bottom concept. Infosys and all other Indian companies says they are hiring local people in US or other countries, by local they means Indian who are settled in US or other countries. Infosys management is never comfortable working with any other people. Entire US companies IT has been Indianiozed and I don't see any other race in US companies ITs any more, there is no diversity.

Infosys isn’t any worse than Verizon. Some less benefits but that’s the name of the game these days. I’m no Trump fan but his H1B policy is rewriting the rules for many hard working IT professionals. I’m excited for the change

You don't need very many h1b when your cheap labor can work from another country remotely, i.e. offshoring. When the ineptness starts to really cost the 'company', SOP is they bring in some temporary contractors who might have the skills necessary or shift a small number of positions back.
I've seen every sort of industry try to sc-ape the barrel with IT/developer outsourcing while companies complain they can't fill these 'technical' positions because it's a competitive market locally and they refuse to value the worker any longer.
Per country caps on h1b visas will solve the problem
Once there is an Indian manager all of their reports are Indian. Check the org charts. Sad this company is doing this to Americans, who pay for Vzw service.
CEO of Microsoft: Indian.
CEO of Google: Indian
CEO of PepsiCo: Indian.
CEO of Verizon: soon to be Indian.
VZ follows trends about 5-10 years after the industry does. In this case, they will be able to just hire from within.

The "foreigners are the only ones willing to do the job" is a complete load of bunk. Maybe they're the only ones willing to do the work for below market rates but to say otherwise is willful ignorance if he basic rules of how the economy functions.
VZ IT employees will last long enough to s--- the knowledge out of them and then adios MF - laidoff or terminate. This is happening in all of the big four carriers at this time.

Trump is forcing them to change by his battle on H1. But you are right about lack of diversity in those companies. Two other factors are - Other races dont want to work for these companies as they perceive it as a inferior job, The work life balance that indians endure is not appreciated by others
