Why is this strange? This is where they belong. Every day. They should be greeting and saying thank you to the members of there club.

It’s very stupid ! Regardless of who gave the direction. Absolutely id--tic! Good call on your GM’s part... Avoid dealing w them ..Lol
The day our GM did it was the day Market Team happened to be touring our club! Pretty sure the GM just wanted to have an excuse to not have to deal with them. I am almost positive had the Market Team not shown up that day the GM would not have done it at all. I also enjoyed the wasted payroll on the elderly gentlemen who's spot the GM took, 8 hours he stood around confused, not sure why he wasn't cut for payroll? He has weight lifting restrictions so we attempted to have him do go backs and self check out but it was not very productive.
It is not just YOUR club. It was across the entire company!
They are trying to see how the shrink is so high. Watching the front end to see how it's running. Scan and go and self checkout are 2 huge reasons of many. How is this a surprise??
Im guessing that if this was Company direction .... and they didnt do it .... maybe there will be some CM without a job . HO is watching them .

it was supposed to be company wide for a full 8 hour shift....those who did not do the full 8 hours are proving they are unable / unwilling to follow company policies...remember that when they are making you do BS or telling you BS.............
