Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

It shouldn't be this way....

Providing terrible service to our existing legacy DSL and POTS subscribers. Seeing dispatches scheduled 7-10 days out even for business customers. Group outages unresolved after 2-3 weeks. Techs having their replacement circuit cards taken away. Techs overloaded on a daily basis with repair tickets, and missing dispatches. Talked to a field services manager and she stated that after losing techs in her garage due to surplus, they typically had 14 tickets a day per tech. With overtime prohibited. Company has cut too deep too fast.

Got caught, standing up in my cube. Was told to sit down. This from a manager that likes to take a 2.5 hour lunch each day. At&t management is a joke. Bunch of phucktards.

"Non-union crews do better work because they are not guaranteed a paycheck!"

Is this the modern version of "beatings will continue until morale improves"?

That is a hot, steaming load of Randy.

T is outsourcing everything. It will only be a name and some execs, contracting out work

The outsourcing plan is working - Union slowly crawling into the corner. IT will be there t pad the Union pockets, and show how T works with you.

If you get the opportunity to take SIPP or severance, take it. Your job is going away.

Customers will see the quality form the outsourcing

You know, if the techs had done this right the first time, it would not break as much. I think this is why Spectrum is eating AT&T's lunch. Non-union crews do better work because they are not guaranteed a paycheck!

AT&T will be unloading all Landline operations to Frontier at the earliest possible moment once they get cleared of regulatory issues.

Plan ahead now and look for a job at frontier.

Come on down to the Directv Orphans Camp where we are down in headcount by 40% but are over booked at between 130 to 150% which means you wake up looking at a 12 to 14 hour day if all goes smoothly. Want a life, learn to cancel jobs is our new motto.
