must be a load of c-ap as there is little to no postings about it.

Heard today that it was 15% across the board in VCM
RIFs ongoing. One rumor, which could be huge, is Ken Dixon getting the ax. Brian Angiolet let go last week, along with his last loser VP.
i heard a number around 1,200 let go today. there was some in wireline network ops as well, in FNOC in ashburn.
Yes, RIF. Lots of management employees impacted. Some happy to go, some not so much. However, those not impacted need to prepared as the management reductions will continue. Guaranteed. They will try to reduce associates with 4th qtr eipp. Those that can go are the lucky ones as morale is at an all time low, stress at an all time high, sad since years ago it was not this way.
Is not rif.
It was quite significant in wireline. Now, even more work load will be put onto those that are still here.
It was significant, many impacted. Those lucky enough not to be impacted this time will add more to their workload.
no, it wasn't small at all. I don't think many of the people/orgs impacted typically check this site. it was between 15-20% in Lain's org. entire teams gone.
Based on the small number of posts, I am assuming this was a fairly small RIF.
There are layoffs constantly at this company. The way I see it, its just their turn. Most of us will be hit at some point.
Nature of the beast.
@2zmn - no worries...
my bad, just commented out of frustration. Shouldn't have assumed people were still employed...and its a relatively newly coined term.
Why can't people just answer questions without all the smart a$$ remarks....
@-2kbm - I just asked a simple question. Only employees can access the Eweb. I was laid off in 2015. Thanks
FFS, VCM is Verizon consumer markets. ever try using the eweb?
What is VCM?
entire teams being eliminated in Wireline VCM
Yes- rif announcements indeed under way in VCM today
RIF announcements seem to be underway in wireline’s VCM business unit ...
it is true.
If not this Thursday then pretty soon. I found this post as I was wondering if a press release was already released or not.
This is fact
come back on Thursday. Most people know Thursday is the preferred Verizon RIF day.
Maybe. Maybe not. It is obvious you are scared and afraid of losing your job based on your derogatory post.
If no layoffs this week. There is always the next pay week and the one after that and so on. More layoffs are inevitable as Verizon embraces the disposable employee culture.
