I feel for everyone that’s impacted by the SSR surplus.

I’ve experienced the same thing last year as an assistant store manager. I know this journey or path might seem dark. It could feel daunting. Transition to RSC? IHX? External company? And a decision has to be made quick.

As a former SSR that transitioned to an RSC, I can honestly say that the position will challenge you, but in a healthy career progression kind of way. It is rewarding to succeed in a role that you may have thought otherwise.

Our own thoughts can hinder ur ability to believe in our talents.

For those that are uninterested in sales, use this time to apply to other companies. You would be surprised how many companies value AT&T employees. I cannot count how many times companies have recruited me via LinkedIn.

In all, take this time to truly discover your passion and continue to sell yourself no matter if it’s internally or externally.

It’s a lower paid position, thats why they did it. Most wage scale 32’s in the SE that have been surplused since last year are now wage scale 31’s if they stayed with this company.

I don't know where you think it is a higher paid position. Yes you get commission as a RSC however your base hourly rate gets cut back to what I made 4 years ago. 19.00 from 24.00 It's just away to s--- the life out of more employees and put more on the management team that already has more on their plate than they can handle. AT&T s---s! They do not care about Employee or customers unless you are interested in or selling DTV. There is no security at AT&T and the Union CWA is a BIG JOKE they are AT&T's lap dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mad as Hell

It’s not REALLY a surplus. Every SSR has the option to become an RSC. With the exception of one contract, it’s a higher paying position and adds commission. I know it’s not for everybody but literally every single SSR could stay with the company.
