@1lxy: for management positions it’s confirmed. It may not be all ATO but a good majority.

How legitimate is this anticipated layoff announcement for Monday the 6th haven’t heard anything from our ATO management

It was announced in a company email organizational change. There was a word.doc attached that had all the info.

@1awf: her replacement if that’s who it is has the title CEO she’s President (which strangely is what Gary is listed as). I wonder if he’s accepting a demotion and her a promotion? 🤔

@1veo - I agree with you, I have not seen an announcement about M.Arnoldi. I was told about it by someone who received an email, but I still have not seen anything published within the company. I am also in ATO

@fln: I said no announcement had been made because while her departure was published I did not see any official sourcing for the announcement. If you saw something please let me know where to look. Gary Ludgood announces his retirement today. Those were the two latest announcements I saw.

Who comes up with the BS? Melissa Arnoldi's replacement was announced earlier this week yet the OP said no announcement has been made. I am in ATO and people who voulntered to go were asked to recind. Those who said no we're then asked to stay on for 6 months. A few did and singed an agreement with HR. Not sure how you anonce a layoff when people were asked to stay. But the again this is AT&T. I looked at open job reqs and there were 6 pages of jobs within ATO, 6 jobs for just my title! Yet people are being told they should start looking for a new job now by upper management in my group.

Great question on previous blog. What is the definition of a team as it relates to number per team ?

at&t cant spend $$ on anything, can barely afford the dividend. $250B in debt. every area will be wacked. Complete re-org at all levels, combining mobility and business areas and maybe the ceo is out too

I hav been reading this blog for a while. I kinda smile at some of the messages but have learned from some of what I read. I see a lot of messages of impacted areas of ATO, DTV, the stores. What I notice is other areas are not mentioned here. Anyone know if business under Subodh will be impacted too? I cannot see how that will not be wacked too.

Thanks for those notes! Can't imagine having 4 months straight (Sept-Dec) without worrying about being surplused, but I'll take it...

Cliff Notes:

• Gary Ludgood retirement announcement today, departure Sept 30 (no announcement for replacement yet)

• Recapping Arnoldi announcement, no official announcement for replacement (I checked the organizational changes page nothing posted there either) from these comments it appears it's someone from DTV Latin America (Lee Org) which makes sense because that's where Melissa is going. This replacement would be taking a demotion (Currently CEO would become President)

• Effected groups to be notified of Surplus on Aug 6 almost all BU's in ATO are impacted (some more than others) official announcement of who has been impacted individually will be ~2 weeks later. My leadership is estimating 3-4 people per team.

• Last surplus announcement of the year, will be another one first of the year next year before organizational restructuring happens.

• Rumors of CEO departure but only rumors nothing official, announced, or even confirmed by leadership. Board of Directors not happy with performance post-DTV/TW mergers. Could tap someone from Stephenson direct report team or outside the company.

Can we get some Cliff notes of the meeting?
