Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

When can we expect more layoffs?

I was wondering, aside from call centers that are closing left and right, do we know when we will have any more layoffs in the rest of the bank?

Somehow I doubt we are out of the woods in regards to layoffs just yet, but there has been very little talk about it lately.

Curious how this will impact the mortgage lending side of the business. There are several mortgage sites, some much larger than others and some have cut jobs and managers within the past 2-3 months.

They still have 2000 branches to close. In stores are next then the ones too close to each other. They are trimming all those back door jobs first before the branches so when they do they dont look like they laid off so many. New policies going in place daily to trim more employees in the branches so they lose their job instead of a layoff

I agree cuts will go on for years including the selling off of unmanageable business lines and divisions. Too big to manage and too corrupt to exist.

Everyday they are slashing jobs. The bank won’t make some big announcement about how many people they are laying off because of the bad public relations it would generate. Layoffs will be small cuts here and there. Probably will continue until 2020 tomrealize E&E targets of 20% staff reductions.

There are layoffs everyday. They are eliminating duplicate departments. Wholesale deals with the largest accounts and are the top of the food chain in the Bank. Weath Management is a subsidiary company of the Bank. Wholesale is always going to be their first choice when they are deciding on who stays. Business wise they should have centeralized the Bank a long time ago. For team members it is going to be a long tough road during the transition.
