T ELISTING COLLECTION AGENCIES TO GET MONEY BACK FROM PEOPLE THAT ALREADY RETIRED

15 years later. After retirement James Mizelle, AT&T sent these agencies to collect miscalculated benefits for 32K, and he is just one of thousands.

Another shameful act by AT&T towards former employees years after paying the employees. Retirees got an estimate before retiring and planned retirement based on that estimate. Now T admits an error on a few and messes up their plan. They can't go back to work in many cases to replace what they expected to have that got taken back

I volunteered for my package and I received a collection notice from T from my last check for inaccurate payment. It was only $145 but still, it’s the principle.

A little tip for people on this blog, let it goto collections and you can get the collections agency that T hired to drop the amount you owe by over 50%. In addition as long as you call and pay the agency within 30days from receiving the the letter it does not impact your credit score.

because of the toxic culture, I am sure Fidelity have an army of lawyes ready, something retirees do not have, dysfunction starts at the TOP

Goodness. T should head this off at the pass and just drop all collection efforts. Public relations nightmare in the making. And why isn't T just going after Fidelity?

The telecom giant has enlisted a collection agency, a step other companies in similar situations have declined to take such action

‘I could not pay it back,’ says James Mizelle, 70, who got a letter demanding he repay $32,116.05 of his AT&T pension. Matt Roth for The Wall Street Journal
