Anyone received email about the meeting on 8/6?

@1uky, I know they can extend if it would put the company in a bad place - they can stay on and train someone, but those taking the offer could have also refused that.

We have previously gotten the invite a few hours before - but have lucked out and our calls so far were "your group is not affected, please be nice to other groups'. Not sure if the affected/not affected calls are generally at different times. Ours were held about noon central.

We always get the invite the day of. My group had over 15 people take the offer which is an entire group. So 2 AMs will be going. These people who took the VMO were asked to recind and when they said no HR asked them to stay on for 6 months. These people were sent paper work by HR and are still here. Not sure how you can surplus in a group where you just extended the offer by 6 months.

@1aqb - Sounds like they are saying at least under one particular level 4 "chain of command", only 4-5% took the offer and they wanted more. Since we can't say names on here, that level 4 person is not named, but if you are under them, your group will likely be one of those hit.

@UshOx5E-1nin: So are Monday layoffs only for level 4s?

I heard aug 6 in hallway for ATO. Was told it would be soon. Have heard about 4-5% took MVO in one level 4 down tree. That is below % wanted. So layoff is coming. Soon. I believe the aug 6 date.

Announcement I saw, Jeff McElfresh, ATO Pres, Jennifer Robertson, promoted to Pres of Field Ops, and Jason Porter taking her slot.

As someone who took the MVO offer, I too would be interested in the number of volunteers. Facts only please. Perhaps from statements made on upcoming town halls or all employee calls.

It’s real, people. The original poster is not telling a fib.

The shadiness is strong on the wire line side too. Some IHX "professional" has been going around convincing folks in an apartment complex to switch from 25-50 meg Spectrum service to AT&T 18 meg service. The problem is they can't get more than 1.5 meg DSL there. The number of field techs dispatched daily to this complex trying to get any kind of broadband service up and running is stupid. Keep it coming T, love the overtime. Don't get me started on the scam that is BVOIP.

In COR we spend more than 50% of our time fixing or explaining the lies of DTV and the whole switch & bait going on right now. This all stems from COR, D2D sales, Telesales - it does not matter - the culture is horrid at this moment, and everyone is out for themselves. Bottom line, we spend more time NOT doing sales. And I don't wanna hear how you can "spin" it into a sale. That is the sick mess that got the customer in front of our face in the first place. Things are so bad and shady it makes one sick.

What does ATO mean?

Those dates have been known by managment for several weeks

I hear you and I agree, But that's the date given by other sources and multiple calls scheduled for Monday were told to cancel. Maybe the invite goes out on Monday and the call is Tuesday (?)

I’ve seen call invites 1 hour in advance of the call.

The logistics of Monday don’t make any sense. In the past we got the meeting invite for the call late on the previous day. People would be staring at the meeting invite all weekend...
