WF still has in their home mortgage portfolio a lot of toxic assets it's not over for them by any means.
I thought something was up when BofA was getting hammered for mortgage fraud (mostly due to Countrywide Home loans) in the aftermath of the 2007/2008 mortgage crisis but Wells Fargo was never mentioned or pursued to the same lengths. I felt they had some kind of protective deal with someone in government. Looks like the tide has turned and Wells Fargo is now getting their turn at scrutiny.
Trump should build prisons to hold executives talk about jail crowding.
Finally... TRUMP can use that money to pay for the freaking WALL!
Is any executive going to jail? Average person is locked up just for stealing bread when hungry
Hopefully a death by a thousand cuts will break up wells fargo into a dozen companies.
That fine will just help the DOJ. Any people that were harmed by thick’s criminal activity won’t see a penny. So much for Justice
It took 10 years for any type of justice for the great depression and financial crisis that began in 2008. They admit no liability and have no jail sentence. NO BANK IS TOO BIG TO FAIL AND NO CEO IS TOO POWERFUL TO JAIL.
