As an SSR, I was told we could transition into an RSC role if we wished, which I will take as it’ll help me financially. I’ve not been with the company years so a severance would hurt me in the long run. This will also help me because I finish all of my duties as an SSR very quickly and am left to do little other than do random training or play on my phone. There should not be too much to worry about honestly now
It is going to get worse. Stankey running TimeWarner is a joke. Stankey has no media creation experience. Donovan is running wireless and DTV into the ground. Get your severance pay and leave!

And to the person asking why they do this themselves, because oh I don’t know, IT IS THEIR JOB and maybe the job market where they are is terrible and it will take them three+ months to find another one and the stress of having to start all over again??? Way to just think for yourself. Some people just can’t leave.
Former SSR here who went through the 2013 layoffs, left months ago for another opportunity in the company when I started seeing signs of what’s to come, so trust me, I understand. Don’t listen to others who are just bitter with their lives.
why do you people do this to yourselves? if it's that bad for you that you can't sleep leave and get a new job. why stay and torture yourself?
