Supervisors do not care about performance or who does what. They pick their friends and rate them higher. One day they will look around and wonder where all the people who actually do work have gone.

As someone who took the MVO offer, I too would be interested in the number of volunteers. Facts only please. Perhaps from statements made on upcoming town halls or all employee calls.

Not just performance ratings but also titles. HR looks at how many in each org with same (or one-off titles). They may see 125 system engineers and decide 15% get cut. It may or may not be up to the supervisor as to which ones. Also they seem to be targeting people who are not located near the major ‘Collaboration centers’ of El Segundo, Atlanta, Dallas, Bedminster. I am part of ATO and I have not heard of any scheduled calls yet.

I hope the low performers in my area get to stay, why ? Because they are honest people doing things the right way.Not sure they even know how to lie and manipulate the numbers like their " Peers " Ha ha !

That surprises a lot of you? HR makes the recommendations to your supervisor based off what they see in amplify. Supervisors have final say

what the hell does HR know about how useful an employee is or is not to their group? no wonder why this place is so jacked up.

HR has the final say who goes? Based on what? If most are rated in the middle, I don’t understand HR involvement in decision.

I heard this week. VP's will get their notice and then have those two conference calls. One for affected and one for those not affected. Then it's in HR's hands to select and have managers inform.

They would likely say something like we aren't required to release the numbers, so why should we. You might hear the numbers, but my guess is you'll only hear from rumors at best.

As far as the low performers comment, total b/s. I've seen dead wood last for decades and some of the best people get surplused.

People assume supervisor know what they are doing and know who the low performers are. Some do, some don't. Sometimes it's not even up to the supervisor and hr decides who gets cut based on some logic hr uses.

I doubt that. They never get rid of the low performers. Not sure why, several reasons I believe but make no mistake those low performers are here and survive year after year, quarter after quarter.

Actual numbers don’t matter. At the very least they will get rid of the low performers...
