5G will be a flop. The infrastructure it's going to require for it to be viable will be unbelievably cost prohibitive. Plus, it will usher back in tiered data plans. Unlimited will be flushed.
And the speeds promised are dependant on the elements.
Guess what already has the speeds promised for 5G. Cable. F-ing 1960s era coax, thanks to DOCSIS 3.1 Who'da thunk it. Oh, and that infrastructure for cable? Been built out since the 80s.
But yeah...5G will definitely be the "cable" killer.

"Wander why"? Read the article in the link. Too much debt, too much competition fighting over too few customers, ttoo expensive and 5g will be a flop.
