Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Blame customers

The ones to blame for continued offshoring of customer service are customers themselves. They are the ones who receive the c-appy service, who keep getting switched from one person they can barely understand to another, and they keep using AT&T!

Do you really think this practice would continue if there was any serious push-back from customers? Oh, they'll b--ch on their social network of choice, but they will continue to use our services.

And if they are sticking to AT&T despite all that, why would the company give up on something that is saving it money?

As I said, blame the customers.

Customers have few choices, only two really Verizon and T. Blaming customers lets corporate america off the hook.

Randy and his gang are not satisfied with building a successful and profitable long term business, they are like pirates who want plunder a once successful company until there is nothing left but the bones, then they will retire and live like fat cats.

This BS is the corporate version of blaming the victim for the rape.

Just check the Verizon layoff boards. They’re all screwed by off shoring also just like us. Pretty much every large multi national company is off shoring. 20 to 30 years ago a degree in c s sounded like a sure bet. Now I wouldn’t know what to suggest to the younger generation. It sounds like America is on a path to its own self destruction.

That's a great idea---Let's all encourage people to drop T and switch to Verizon! Then we can write in crying about being laid off.

America offers up some of the worst education in the world, the numb nuts graduating today have never learned the basics of our history let alone global history. These grads cant identify Mexico or Canada on a world globe.I would never bet that one of todays graduates could locate the good old USA on a map. The classes being taught by today's commie universities stress SOCIAL societal snowflake 101 over math, science, computer hardware and software knowledge. There is not one college grad today that has ever learned about Or,Nor,And,Nand or X of of Or gates in semiconductors.A kid today needs to go to a trade school to learn the basics of making some money in silicon valley. This is the great undoing of America and it wont get better as long as the Pelosi and crybaby Schummers of our country are in power. They will continue encouraging the outsourcing of jobs and importing of educated cheap labor with their Global view of the world. When our politicians place value on cheap foreign workers over United States citizens, well the game is over for us.

Consider if the jobs that are impacted are neighbors, friends, family or even yourself and all are customers at the same time

Why would anyone support the loss of work to offshore, when we have these capabilities in the U.S?

T can blame lack of experience - how can that be as the workers are being replaced

T can blame lack of technical skills - US Universities and trade schools are best in the world - IF not then why aren't the Johns sending their kids to India for school

The real blame here in Corporate greed - lack of commitment to its workers and refusal to pay talent - we can get a 3 for 1 via Bangalore for less than the cost of current employee - the same 3 only bring 60% of the productivity or quality of the displaced employee - all to save short term costs - the long term is never considered as most in C level are protected and will be gone when it craters.

You are but a number to T. And when your number is called your out the door - your experience, loyalty, dedication and service do not matter - Think about that

Do other carriers not offshore their customer services too?

I am doing my part, by encouraging everyone know to switch services, why? Americans and the effect of globalism and consumerism have succeeded in banishing employment and career options for million, why they do support companies that outsource jobs? without moderation they are sanctifying corporate greed.
