Sure, unemployment went down because more people left the work force, and can be attributed of offshoring in mass scale, AND THEY ARE NOT COUNTED ON THOSE STATISTICS LOOKING FOR WORK , This has a different and truly chilling view of the labor picture. Labor participation began declining after a high of 67.3% in mid-2000. It dropped to 66.4% in January 2007, just as the economic collapse began, and kept going. Now the country hovers at just below 63% as people have left the workforce., Last report, said that There are more jobs than people out of work, something the American economy has never experienced before. There are 6.7 million job openings and just 6.4 million available workers to fill them, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, so why of the disconnect?

Ageism= is hard to proof, people who work pay taxes, they buy things and help contribute to a healthier economy, If you don’t pay taxes and stop spending at the rate you would if you were employed it affects all of us in the long run

Maybe onshore call centers should consider bringing their overpaid a$$es to work. That might help.

As a senior call center analyst for several Fortune 200 companies, I can share the following. Philippine and Indian call centers transfer approximately 44 percent of calls received back to the US. Foreign call centers require CSR's to stick to a script which is rarely beneficial in assisting with customer needs. Of all US call centers, ATT has the worst operation, totally compartmentalized, and poorly managed. That being said I do not personally own or use ATT products and services.
