Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Bad publicity for AT&T, good for us

That article about AT&T still laying off and outsourcing despite profits is now everywhere. Just google "AT&T Layoffs And Outsourcing" and see how many links you'll get, all from the last day or two.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see media actually calling AT&T out for their c-ap. I'm even hoping if it persist, we might see something positive come out of it.

Maybe.

@1bqr, hey hot shot, did I say T MADE the iPhone? Did I even say they made Apple Phones? Suggest you push a few buttons to the AT&T.com. Gee, guess what you will find they sell? ..guess what, profits come from those sales.

Now go to Google, look up the definition of Dillwad....later Dillwad.

@axc, with respect, T employees tend to get the idea that our gripes with Ma Bell transcends to the outside world. Eleven out of my thirteen siblings, and their children, independently purchased Apple iPhones and various Apple iPads. We’ll leave off the two 5 yr olds....but soon!

The market is loudly saying that Randy's management policies and direction are a bad idea.

He is gutting a once good company and focusing only on short term profits that fill his pockets and whatever the motives are of the board and the major stock holders.

When your customers hate you this much it means that if you were not getting taxpayer money from the federal government, you would be in the ditch at the side of the road.

Randy has raided billions to his offshore accounts right from the tables of hard working union families.

AT&T does not need help from us, lots of people are avoiding the Death- Star products and services, one of the most hated companies in US

Nothing will change, layoffs will continue, in addition with all the offshoring and outsourcing that is currently taking place , people already know that AT&T is one of those companies that perpetuates a toxic culture, may be in the next 50 years if they are still in one piece they could do a better job,

First, Trump can’t even overrule Melania...without penalty. And his powers, though he believes them to be ‘all powerful,’ don’t extend that far.

And yes, bad publicity for T, is hardly mosquito bite....a small annoyance at worst.

OP, Maybe is a real long shot. In everyday life, everyone is caring for the family, covering rents and car payments and especially looking out for the best deal they can get on an Apple iPhone. Surplussed T’s vs. a great deal on that phone....no sleep will be lost, except by us!

T is big enough at this point that bad publicity does not matter to them. It's one of the many problems with allowing corporations to get this big.
