I guess the Time Warner employees don't have to sign the "Code of Conduct"
It is unethical for a president to tell a public corporate that they should fire CEO of the news organization just because he doesn’t like the network. Grow some thick skin. Did Bush tell MSNBC head that they should be fired? What about Obama and Clinton? Did they demand head of FOX should be fired? No. Because every president, Republican and Democrat, had common sense, something our president lacks. AT&T should continue business as usual.
@dni, “CNN is utterly biased” well you may be partially right, but not mostly. But when I want a total break from reality I might do a CLOCKWORK ORANGE, sit infront of the tele and watch a Trump/Fox interview with a bottle of aspirins and a bourbon by my side, not sure which helps more though.
Talk about someone having a gift to “manufacture stories!”
I think at this time, there is a "firewall" between AT&T and Time Warner, until early 2019. So, in many respects, Time Warner operates in semi-autonomous mode.
This will make it easier to break up the merger, should the Appeals Court reverse the merger decision rendered in June.

"In this confirmation, which expires, at the latest, on February 28, 2019, AT&T indicated that AT&T will manage the Turner networks as part of a separate business unit, distinct from the operations of AT&T Communications. ... Target compensation levels and benefits for Turner personnel will remain largely unchanged, as will the number of Turner employees."
All bets are off after Feb 2019.
The money.
Att doesn’t care either way, it’s about money:
Unlike what potus says, CNN is very profitable why ATT fire a head of an profitable organization. MSNBC, FOX, CNN, etc., they are all biased, but it’s about Money.
Patriotism is not blind loyalty to imbecilic bully.
In fact, if you think about our constitution and democracy there are very good reasons to resist authoritarian attempts to squash dissent and free speech.
CNN is so utterly biased and has been caught manufacturing stories just to criticize Trump. If AT&T has any shread of decency left it will fire S---y Zucky!
“If AT&T refuses to follow the President’s directive every patriot should drop AT&T and boycot! I don’t blame AT&T for CNN because that is the way It was when it was bought but now it is time to do something about it.”
I’m a patriot and I think the presidents directive is ridiculous. Firing him has nothing to do with running the country.
Why would business give in to some government official. They should tread lightly as AT&T could just tell them GTH, you get no more information from us about any communications we see on our network which is alot of cyber intelligence.
If AT&T refuses to follow the President’s directive every patriot should drop AT&T and boycot! I don’t blame AT&T for CNN because that is the way It was when it was bought but now it is time to do something about it.
What a goofball. The president is a whiny baby that has no control over AT&T or any other company. Aw poor baby doesn't like all the stories of his criminal self and family being reported so hes gonna cry about it on twitter. LOL, what a dope.
AT&T really lost out with its bribe for Cowan and Trump and now is bought and sold and has to do whatever Trump says bye bye Zuckie fake news
