Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

CWA Sneaky Sh!T

I cannot believe that the CWA retracted the direct dealing suit they had presented AT&T moreover without even notifying AT&T Legacy T workers. This "final" offer get progressively worse, with contract bargaining resuming only BECAUSE the Union retracted their claim and The Company felt that was a green light to continue with their bs version of contract negotiation. I do not understand WHY a fair cut and dry deal can't be given to legacy T workers to move them to Legacy S & B work.

I doubt any of the offshore work is unionized.

Where is the Union protecting any jobs?

Stewards have very little influence - they don't want to upset management lol

Union leaders is still getting the dues and perks - workers getting outsourced

When was the last big strike - when was the last big win - when is the next layoff announcement

Union Sudy: sheep exhibit a strong attraction towards the center of the flock as the bargaining time approaches. While many experts support the 'union selfish herd' explanation for why sheep group together, proving the theory has not been easy.

I suggest that individual sheep under threat continuously move towards the center of the flock. The flock as a whole, thinks meanwhile, moves away from layoffs? what union members don't know is that the Union and company are one, and so oblivious to their eminent demise

Sheep are a popular Union model for the devastating human condition, which causes personality changes and uncontrollable movements.

a baseline of 'normal' sheep social behavior, that may be associated with cognitive deficits

The CWA is so corrupt that all the Shop Stewards in our call center dropped out of the Union. We have to call all over Atlanta to find a union rep to sit in on a grievance meeting! SMH

If it wasn’t for the union you would be earning minimum wage 60 hours a week with no protection against out of control managers firing you for low sales

All you at AT&T should just pack your bags and move on. It discusses me to drive down the road and see you "milking" sitting in your trucks and cars, not doing your jobs. Lazy F'ers you are and good luck working a real job for half or less what your making now. Enough of this poor me.... buck up and work for a living, you are owed nothing, EARN IT!!

YOU Can't optout, IF YOU DO You still have to pay, AND BE LABELED so it does not matter. Let the RUSE CONTINUE

He who takes from another man’s purse takes from his existence. To strike at a man’s food and shelter is to strike at his life . . . . It is for this reason that a laborer is so fiercely hostile to another laborer who offers to work for less pay or longer hours. . . . In addition to the use of bricks, clubs, and bullets, the [striking] laborer finds it necessary to express his feelings in speech. Just as the peaceful country-dweller calls the sea-rover a “pirate,” . . . the [striking] laborer applies the opprobrious epithet “scab” to the laborer who takes from him food and shelter . . .

You have been sold,out

The Union and T are the same at the top, your just a chip on the table and they will sell you out

A few will profit, mostly the high seniority on their way our. They will lump sum vote preference to seniority to downsize any jobs they want eliminated. Offshored or outsourced to third party

Watch for the change in separation going to be capped at 6 months. Old timers counting on 50 plus weeks, enjoy the lump, sum,T will recoup on your any out
