You have but two choices - Stay and take your chances or go find another job. I moved on to greener pastures. I make more money and have a whole lot less stressful job. My coworkers don't lie, cheat and steal to prop their numbers up and the company I work for would never reward employees for that type of illicit behavior. My advice would be to move on, especially if you are an ethical person. AT&T does not, nor has it ever cared about you or your customers. And I don't know if all of our current IHX people realize it or not, but several years ago T created National Account Executives and Retail Account Executives positions... Hundreds of them. Guess where many of your cars came from? All those RSC's, ASM's and Managers who lost their jobs. And it came out of the blue. So, if you think for one second your position as an IHX is safe... You are a fool. Good luck to you. It's a really good job market.

@USonW3j-ocy I didn't know Monster.com was still even a thing. Try Linked In or Indeed. I have been here 20+ years, still hanging on..but I agree with you in that it's important to be prepared when the notification comes (which it will), rather than scrambling and having to start from scratch.
The pastures are greener. I took a sipp I was gone on a Friday, and had a new job the following Monday. It’s called believing in yourself. Btw, my income will double.

I was just pointing out your conflicting statements. Not part of IHX, so I could care less about that either way. You said you left for greener pastures, making more money with better co-workers. If so, you would not be on this site, nor would you say “I don’t know if all of OUR current IHX people”.

It's amazing to me when someone hears the truth they immediately call you a "troll". And to the person who called me a troll... Don't be so sensitive when you lose your IHX job. And you might as well get ready. Because it's going to happen. T will tire of its little experiment and you'll be gone. T hired RAE's and NAE's like wild, all the way to the day their position was eliminated. It's going to be ok. You'll get over yourself.
If you are not happy or you think your job or group is on the chopping block, start applying for a new job now. Don't wait until after you are laid off. I went to monster.com 2 months ago and entered my resume. I have received 5 responses, but I am still looking. I only have 18 years at T, so I know my days are numbered. Good Luck!!
Sage advice but it's not the same situation for everyone. If you're a manager that has been here for 20+ years, generally speaking you're probably not going to match your current salary at a new place right out of the gate. You almost certainly aren't going to get over 5 weeks vacation. These are reasons folks in this category will generally stay around until they are asked to leave.

Agreed, People work to make money right? market is good, l landed a new job within 2 months, had 6 interviews and my pay increased without any negotiation. Give it a try and you will be surprised
