AT&T has laid off an estimated 7,000 workers since the TAX Scam announcement was issued, according to the Communication Workers of America union. AT&T disputed this number, arguing they’ve hired 8,000 employees in the United States so far this year and 87,000 over the past three years.
CWA needs to information picket every tech dispatch encouraging customers to cancel until AT&T agrees to stop sending jobs overseas, fishing work to sub contractor techs, using IHX door to door creeps to steal work from retail stores, opening authorized retailers, and any other anti-Union BS!!! Hurt them in their pocket books!! Hopefully the Democrats will win congress so they can investigate this corporate greed and restore higher more fair taxes to AT&T to save our jobs!

I had assumed that the tax cut was to be used for infrastructure buildout, involving temporary construction jobs involving 7000 people.
I never assumed that it meant no cutbacks elsewhere, in the declining legacy telephony businesses or cutbacks due to automation of their networks. The buzzword is "autonomous network".

T is a public traded Co, they are for the Investors..they never said that the tax savings were for employees, obviously people misunderstood capital investment with salary increases, or job creation for that matter
