be the best you can be, so it did not work out here, that s---s, spend 5 minutes crying and feeling sorry for yourself, then go out and be better. your attitude is typical of union membership, do the least possible, thats why Eastern Airlines and other heavily unionized companies are gone today. while EAL demise is BOTH union and managements fault, many of the changes needed to compete were resisted/rejected by union employees.
Web re humans and we will screw up at times. the higher we are in the company the more people are impacted negatively. For you parents, how many screw up by your young kids really impacted you negatively? how about screw ups by YOU as adults.
Why should anyone be a "great"employee when performance DOES NOT MATTER anymore? I know of many, many top rated employees who were let go simply because they do not live close enough to a collaboration zone, even though the folks they collaborate with are geographically dispersed!!!!
In the past, layoffs, at least on the salaried side, were decided by performance.... Not true anymore!!!!!
Collaboration zones are a joke. Call them Noisy zones, coffee clutch zones, or realistically, cheap real estate zones.

They are getting ridiculous. Too many wishing the company to fail. Look if you dont buy the company products because you can get better somewhere else, so be it. But to wish the company to fail when it employees over 200,000 people directly and impact billions of dollars elsewhere is just cowardly. Many other companies, small and large have lousy employees. YOU be a great employee. And as for the id--t talking about free speech, if you are so brave why not identify yourself? Cowards. The ones who wish the company to fail are cowards who refuse to identify themselves.
