I see people talking about major layoffs, but I can't figure out if they are talking about the past several weeks in general or if something big happened yesterday.
Am I missing something? Has there been a major round of layoffs yesterday that I somehow didn't hear anything about?
Knew some in OneFiber that went down. More to come in different dept's ahead I'm sure. Usually on Thursday's, but on pay week Thursday's. So safe this Thursday, Thursday's before payday's going forward, not so much.
What business unit are you asking about? VZ is a huge company with many pieces and if the left hand was riffed the right hand would have no idea about it. I hear time and time again about people stating "nope nothing happened" when they have no clue or consideration on how large this company is. I am sure that there is a reduction somewhere going on at any time which may be small or large...
With that said, I heard there were some reductions in a few of the centers last week, but I have no idea what positions or how many.
