All CWA unions have ratified as well as IBEW in NY. IBEW in New England, Pennsylvania and NJ are still in the process and have not released any announcements on ratification.

I asked a delegate this morning and he said he hasn’t heard anything. He thinks they are waiting for all of the unions to finish voting in other states.
You heard it on the internet, so it must be true!! I checked our locals website, and our locals Facebook page....NOTHING has been mentioned. Bazinga!!

Many people here have they are going to sell notion. Who is the buyer?? Who has the capital to afford the networks up and down most of the Northeast and Mid Atlantic? Frontier? I think not, Consolidated?? Strike two. So who is it all of you sooth sayers and know it alls?? If Vz wants to sell than go ahead sell, someone who wants it please step in it may not be as bad as all of the telecom titans and their opinions have to say. @: 1xfx: No, I don’t think we can agree on that. There was talk of this being the last contract for many years and many contracts. Every one has been the “last” one. Yes, there will be changes, there will be people retiring,normal attrition, people getting EISPs and people getting RIF’d.
Nobody knows what the business atmosphere will be in 2023 nor which or how many employees are necessary.
Can we all just agree to one thing. This is THE last contract. By 2023 it will be a 5G world complete with drones replacing delivery people and autonomous cars. If you will have less than 30 years by then goodbye pension, your senior members sold you out for their own self-interest.
@mhs are you making the argument that by voting for the contract is one is signing their job away. Most of the trolling until recently spoke of a bloodbath in 2016 that was delayed until 2019 when the contract was to end due to the companies un readiness to drop the hammer. I hope you are wrong maybe a contract is less safe than working without one. Scary times. Five more years of worry.

@mhs: As has been discussed many times before, a long contract makes selling or divesting even more difficult and time-consuming than it already is.
You have no contract, you have no security and are jealous of those that have both.
