To 1qvw, fyi, things are different in EVERY club. However, in our club I key out the magazine's, do rtv's, damages, orange stickers, etc., etc., etc. Our claims clerk doesn't know anything about receiving. NOTHING! So keep guessing.
Yes workday& people solutions. Are they targeting long term associates, are they trying to get them to quit, are they showing favortism with attendance. ANSWER TO ALL YES. Changes are coming and they are trying to force you out. I know, I'm a long term associate. 20plus years, no coachings, discussions of any sort. Speaking up when things aren't correct YES!!! Terminated!!!!! and not even correct. 8.5 points. While others have 18. Think I'm going to beg for job back. HELL NO!! Think I'm having a discussion HELL YES!!!! I'm still in shock of the lack of respect shown. All I could say is WOW, Y'ALL have lost your minds, thank you and out the door I went.
Well, in our club we are always understaffed because people in this area don’t want to work when it’s easier to collect welfare. So our managers are busy doing floor partners jobs or running the front end so cos’s Can run register.
hahahahahaha,,,hahahahahhahaha,,hahahahahahhaha,,hahahahahahhaa,,,,,,,man I just can't breathe..wait a minute..ok,,,now..Managers don't have time??. If you are doing their job it is because they are hiding somewhere talking etc...they won't go open the compactor or the back door to save their lives..they often give keys to less than a year hourlies just so they don't have to walk to the back..it is not uncommon for our night rec to come in and find the compactor unlocked or the back roll up door , the trucker's lounge or even the truck doors. And all because management is to lazy to walk to the back and check when the club closes.
Recycler eliminated the f/ t and lead position in accounting. Only
2 p/ t in accounting now. How do
you figure they will be going there?
My guess is the position will be
eliminated with the breakout of Workday on Sept 17. Will wait and see what the options are . Good luck to all.
I heard p/t ptc and other half accounting like back in the day this was is how it was.
Remember that you can apply for positions that are available. Does not mean you will be full time.
Do not assume that PTC will automatically be a membership
associate. So many changes going on. Just keep your eyes and ears open.
I couldn’t agree more let them (managers) do what they are being paid to do, that means get out of the office.
Actually, the changes that they have made to ptc have made them more time consuming. Ptc’s had the orientation down to a science and could do it in their sleep. Now, it’s less content and more time consuming. Most clubs have 2 or 3 computers to work with so if you are doing an orientation for more than that good luck! Do they truly think the managers are doing sections of orientation? Not a chance. They don’t have time for that, let alone to take over the rest of the job! Ptc is a job that is different everyday. You might do unemployment docs, osha paperwork, key the managers schedules because they don’t have time......you never know what the day will bring. A lot of people don’t understand what the job entails and think we just spend a lot of time talking. We do, but people have questions all the time. Insurance, pto, policies. I’m not saying they won’t survive without us. No one is irreplaceable. I’m just saying we take a lot of work off the managers that apparently home office doesn’t understand. I personally won’t stay for the reason you stated. I will be moved to some position where I will not only do that, but also still do a lot of the ptc responsibilities.
Don’t waste your time being angry though. Everything happens for a reason! Maybe there is something better just waiting for you! Sam’s is not life! ❤️
1wk1, back room means receiving not claims. Worry about your position and not your friend in claims.
Claims position is one that can not very easily be filled. Clearly you are an office clerk, how many times have you helped out in claims, and to be fair to you how many times have they helped you? My guess is they probably know more about your position than you know about theirs.
PTC will be a priority to be given a position of their choice by club management. Why wouldn't you? The same was done for audit. If I was management of course I need them to continue doing job to make their job easier. Who are they kidding? Home office knows this, however they will continue to say otherwise. PTC will probably be given a membership desk position (guaranteed). They well be kept there so they can very easily still do their job as well. My PTC is awesome, I too would keep her hidden.
make choices???? hahahahahahahahhahahaaha......they do not want you to be able to choose to leave until they are done s---ing you dry.....only when they have had their with you will you be given any choice making info...then and only then will they take off your blinders and shackles ..they will shove you to the street and declare they never needed you anyway.........
Our Ptc used to be amazing and helpful, now she’s a little disgruntled. I feel as if she Knows her job is almost over, and wishing they just get it over with. A global organization like this should be honest and treat people with dignity. STOP letting your employees hand in the balance, give them options early on to make choices.
Honestly they have taken everything away from them, not much for them to do anymore.

AMP has the automated receiving scheduling starting Aug 13.
Basically PTC changes are rolling out in September which is on the main screen on the WIRE.
