SIPP Being Offered Company Wide For Everyone No Head Count Limit

Heard yesterday that there is going to be a company SIPP offer to anyone who wants to take it. No head count limit. But I will believe it when I see It. Maybe more just false news rumor which is rampant on this board.

SIPP= Supplemental Income Protection Plan. If you are in a CWA contracted position, it will be fully explained in your contract book. There is also a chart showing how much $ you would get(based on # of years service) In the Southeast, Sipp is covered in Articles 7&8. Hope this helps.

It isn't the question that layoffs are coming. It is here and stay here for good. It will never go away. You will get hit by it. It's just a matter of time. Automation, AI, Deep learning, Machine learning, Big data and outsourcing is and will replace you. The writing is on the wall only if you care to read it.

Sipp is like a severance pay in the west but the west calls it erb or vsp, the west gets two weeks for every year you worked or more if you have more than 20 years.

@u7uS80j ... I work at AT&T and I don’t know what a SIPP is... its a big company, and people on this site are from many different organizations and levels.

ATO offered management voluntary surplus (up to 6 months pay depending on years of service) with no limit so I can believe a SIPP offer that has no limit. The company is looking to drastically reduce headcount the problem is, and I don’t know if the company is prepared for this, that they’re going to lose some really good employees who are taking this opportunity to jump ship.
