Managers in our store are having us call customers from the past few years that have 3 devices or more on TMP. We explain to the customer no additional charges and some actually save money. One dude nailed 8 in one day over the phone !!! That’s 1,600 in sales dollars just from calling people.

You 100% committed commissions fraud if he didn’t have an eligible event or if it’s not open enrollment. TMP-MD is like re-enrolling into insurance. I’m sorry, but this came straight from Asurion yesterday and they are the insurance provider. It doesn’t matter if you think it’s “right for the customer”... that doesn’t make it any less commissions fraud. You still got paid $200 for a non-eligible event and if that customer tries to make a claim now they may even deny the claim. Then you can bet they’re going to get the USWIN of the person who did the order and come down on you. Our director said there’s “zero tolerance” for this yesterday. I would stop doing it immediately before you lose your job. If you don’t believe me ask Asurion or read the OST.
We had a customer come in yesterday that wanted to go over his plan and see what we can do to save him money. He was interested in moving to another carrier ( so they all say) so I looked at his account. He was on an old “More Everything” plan paying 40.00 a line for 6 phones. He also had TMP for each line at 13.00 a pop. Keep in mind he wasn’t looking to buy anything but simply find a way to save some money. We can still do that for customers right? Anyway let’s cut to the chase ....6 lines TMP $78 a month, changed to TMPMD $39.00, More Everything 340.00, New Go Unlimited 240.00. I went over this customers plan and found a way to save him 139.00 !!!!! He was estatic and repeatedly thanked me and I truly believe I saved a customer. So tell me again how this is commissions fraud? We are here to do what’s right for the customer.
It is 100% commissions fraud... they literally had someone from Asurion on our territory’s call today explaining there has to be a device purchased or CPE in the last 30 days or it’s fraud. Director said there’s no tolerance for anyone trying to game the system and they will be caught.
Commission fraud. There's a report on this and they shut this down in our district. Read OST on EP. Cannot add MD even if they have TMP on every line. Device must be purchased.
One my district only 2 to 3 people per store are hitting this hard. Also is not com fraud if they already have at least 3 tmp. Asurion can track the discrepancy in coverage. Just make sure you tell customers (even if you arr saving the money). Com fraud would be to add tmp md to account that have less than 3 tmps or tec combined.
Personally i dont need this train to last a long time, just for a few month. But with the size of our customer base and how fee people are actively attacking this, you should be fine for a while.
How were you able to find the customers that had 3 or more tmp already?
I was in the trial as well. We were calling people in the first couple months and banking mad sales dollars. The well dried up soon after. It is super rare anymore to find an account you can convert. The question was raised to our DM if it was commission fraud to convert an account even if a phone had not been purchased in the last 30 days. He said he checked with compliance and they said it was good to go. Still doesn't seem right and to this day I still think it is commission fraud, they just turn a blind eye.
And yet it’s commissiom fraud to do this because you only have 30 days to change to that. :) What store are you out of, we are watching. :)
Was a store in the trial. This lasted 2 months then everyone you see has TMP MD. Godspeed.
