I know there are some who love T, I was one of them, but there comes a point when you have to open your eyes. The simple truth is T is not what it use to be, too many reorgs, allingments and layoffs. There is not enough new business to support the number of employees. Yes the Union works for T not you. Are stores in jeopardy of closing ? are call centers and techs? The answer is yes. The real question is why are you staying? is it the money? free Direct Tv? it sure isnt the health care or retirement they already took that away. The point is it dont matter what dept. you work in its not like it was when your grandfather retired. You will work till you cant get out of bed anymore if you stay at T.

Good post. Unfortunate but true. Randall destroyed DirecTV now Time Warner is next in line for the Auschwitz Crematorium........Failure and destruction follows everything Randall touches......it's too bad Ralph wasn't given the top spot and Randy shuttled out the exit door.....what a shame.
On the other hand AT&T's failures provide a window for some innovative entrepreneur. Should be interesting to see what new communications business arises from Randy's epic failures.

Love AT&T? Sorry, I go out of my way to avoid every being a customer of AT&T ever again. As a former customer, who has been lied to by sales reps and after sales rep, I don't know why anyone would do business with this company. Their customer service is horrible and can not be trusted, their products are second rate, while their fees are inflated. No thanks, the only question for me is why more customers have not yet fled.

You are right. There is an article in the Dallas Business Journal where the CFO, John Stephens, says over the next 10 years we will see steep reduction in headcount as technology replaces them
AT&T is AT&T in name only. A bunch of hicks in Texas bought the company for cheap and only kept the name for brand recognition. If you're not one of the Good Ole Boys (and trust me, you're not), then Randy has you so far up his arse you can wink at him when he's brushing his teeth in the morning.
