Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The Big Bribe....

.....does anyone know if the big bribe paid by Randall Stephenson to President Trump for approval of the Time Warner acquisition is illegal? Is it unethical? or is it just standard discrete for this type of transaction?

I am just an average American but I think I would get in trouble for doing this. At a minimum I would be fired from my job. Is this correct or am I overreacting?

You know....You're right!! We do have to take that Code of Conduct class ever year and the entire thing is about just this type of thing.....when you can accept a gift and when you can not. When a conflict of interest exist, blah...blah...blah.

Kind of turns the whole Code of Conduct thing on its head doesn't it.

yawn.....nobody cares y'all. This is the way big business deals get done. Get over it and move on. Only poor people go to jail for bribing the government.
