The jobs are leaving - We may be able to secure some future if we stick together. CWA is paving the road out of town.

What are you really getting 3-6 more months. You will be outsourced. IF Randy has his way, this is a content company and offshore/outsource is its infrastructure. He plainly states it. automation will be the real job killer.

There will not be much left.

Very high probability that our center is closing in Florida. Managers are being offered positions in Texas, 3 accepted and our director is gone we are sharing a director from TN. Not looking good.

Unfortunately, I see ASI all over again. When dsl came out AT&T hired like crazy and gradually upgraded the techs every contract. Now, there’s only a handful of legacy dsl techs. Prem tech was created as a 3 year term title. Union was graciious in upgrading techs contractually. It’s better to layoff a title with no surplus rights than a title with surplus rights. That’s what the union and AT&T negotiated. Bonded pairs are just line installing a 2 line phone. Easy work just like fiber work. It’ll get done wither way. We’ll see what happens in June.

Heard the same for the Southwest IEFS - Kansas City to be specific. Better have your plan B in place. Good luck to all, your going to need it. Good hard working coworkers have already been surplused on April 6 that was the first round, now looks to be the time for the 2nd round. All the 2020 training was a smokescreen to make you feel secure.

June 14 2018 ... 730 am in all time zones ... the big "nothing" .. as usual ... Morning coffee, conference calls about nothing and mild "grumbling" in cubicle 15-c .. For most of you .. however outside plant technicians out in the street actually doing , fixing , and repairing it's just another day for us .. Heard a rumor that some cubicle worker " most of you " whittled a sad face in the wall .. you rebel !

We got the email today to watch for trouble tickets ourselves due to NDCI experiencing a "work stoppage". You mean the strike?? Yeah, I'm going to monitor multiple systems that I'm not paid to do, go take a hike chumps.

we've striked from friday morning to tuesday morning so far, say what you will but this is us throwing a punch back at the bully. lot of guys lost a lot of money. But we finally swung back on at&t the bully.

you can't stand there and take punch after punch from a bully without throwing one back. we put our money where our mouth is with their unfair labor practices. even if nothing comes from this we've shown the giant we will fight for fair treatment and demand mutual respect. we built this company on our backs, we are tired of watching bean counters tear it apart and play games with our livelihood, our company!
