Of course techs voted to go back to work so they can get paid. The union is weak and won’t get anything accomplished. If the union cared they would pay techs salaries during the strike from their fund. If you work in a right to work state STOP PAYING THE UNION!!
This morning cwa4320 said this. Brothers and Sisters,
Local 4320 ended its grievance strike today as a result of a vote of our members.
The vote was 322-120 to return to work.
The issues at hand were not getting resolved because att in its typical sociopathic style of negotiation was completely unwilling to have meaningful discussions. The local believes we have the necessary evidence to pursue a ULP against the company for failure to bargain and we are working with our attorney to prepare the charge.
The local is very proud of the many successes of our local. Here is a list of the victories we attained for our local.
1-
Nearly 100% participation and a spirit of Unity we have not seen in our local in the last 30 years.
2-
A major request of the grievance was to end site surveys for Prem Techs; and as a concerted activity the entire state of Ohio had our back and turned in all site surveys, and now that we are back we are doing it as well.
3-
We ended the strike on our terms and we will define what a win looks like. While the company brought in contractors and managers expecting a long protracted battle. We do not need the company’s approval to win our fights, and we showed them we will define a victory on our own terms.
4-
The local received multiple stories from former managers about the violations we are accusing the company of using against our members which will result in a second ULP charge. We would not have had these stories without this strike.
5-
We had the police called us by the company in negotiations because the company cannot handle honest conversation.
Any members that would like to comment about victories you see out of this strike please do. The local will be debriefing for the next several weeks and taking feed back from all perspectives about what should have happened.
The local will not let prefect be the enemy of our victory.
Thanks go out to all of the positive support this local has received from throughout the country. Our members are amazing as are all of the members throughout the District.
Thanks again to everyone. Now its time to put our unified sight on to the goal of a fair and just contract.
Please check out our press release.
It appears like that the local here lost their nerve. And no i am not in management, i am a union member myself.
management trolls on here posting to get their rocks off because their lives are falling apart under their leadership and they're push their bad leadership down onto us.
cwa is strong, behind the worker, we are the union. life without the union, all you have to do is look at your manager and all the weak diick managers who've been fired since uverse started. look at the staying power of us techs vs salary management spineless yes men.
look at how the company treats in home solutions experts, talk to anyone of them who haven't received the blue kool aid blood transfusion.
keep talking hate management. you'll be moved out of the company and we'll still be here cleaning up your mistakes and working to counter the mistakes of new "leadership".
what a joke you are.
UNION JOKE, IS on you. TO KEEP FAT CATS EMPLOYED, $$$$$$$ PEOPLE WAKE UP
Midwest is working without a contract right now. The union doesn’t have to sponsor anything, we pay them and they work for us.
Read: The CWA is being paid by AT&T to control you. They will lie and do whatever it takes, don't be fooled.
As long as the union and company continue to talk and negotiate, there will be no union sponsored or approved strike, and then it will be arranged with the company. Members should be signed up and getting daily updates to contract negotiations and any workers under contract can't strike without disciplinary actions.
Several garages in Michigan are preparing a tech initiated walk out.
We do not need to wait for cwa leadership to make the call, they will have to get behind what we decide.
We are tired of the way we are being treated and purposely being stressed out and burned out.
CWA will roll over, sit, and beg for Randall.
It's up to the members to demand a strike - these jobs are leaving and the retraining effort is focused on India. I doubt your included.
Keep paying your dues dip s**ts
The whole nationwide company should go on strike until WE the workers get what WE want. Sorry, I was just day dreaming...........
D9 also had nice little pre planned 3day weekend “strike” events out here when it was our turn awhile back. Only took over 18months of bargaining to do it....losers.
Was kind of fun grilling in the parking lot and picketing in front of a company owned store, but it accomplished nothing. Company had all the time needed to plan for the stoppage. And only dtv techs got a little extra crumb then enough dolts voted yes. Wouldn’t have mattered anyway if we voted no again, would’ve just been voided somehow.
CWA d9 leadership is the biggest, softest, fluffy cloud pillow nothings that don’t have the balls for a real strike. We vote every time to authorize a strike but the top fatties say we can’t hold a strike....b---s---t you fat turds. And I mean all these “top” union guys are fat f---ks it seems. They probably consider carrying their groceries hard work.
A real long term stoppage would bring T back begging cause their “highly trained reserve workforce” is non existent. Sure it’d hurt our $$$ for a short time but it’s a means to an end. That’s it, pretty simply. But union fat f---ks can’t have anything disturb their meaningless existence. But keep posing for those god awful stupid pictures with your fists raised in the air.
Hope I’m wrong and your strike is longer and a success.
If they started on Monday they might accomplish something.
Another weeweekend strike, LOL, why is that these strikes can,'t start on Monday?
Monday we will be heard in solidarity
If we had a real union that cared as much for the workers as they do for their paid days off, coffee, pizza and donuts, they would organize the whole company to walk out in solidarity, to force a winning outcome for the workers they pretend to represent.
Evil triumphs when good men do nothing.... stand strong my brothers!!
The only way for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing!! Stand strong my brothers!!
So impactful doesn't even come up on a Google search, what a joke
CWA - Collusion With AT&T
Spot on
Strikes are just what CWA does to make you feel like you matter. You don't. They are as corrupted as ATT.
Monday will be the day that proves to the company that we are fed up with outsourcing, offshoring, contracting, and surpluses. We built this copper network from the ground up. We are building our fiber network and cellular networks now. We demand the respect for fair negotiations and job security. We understand the issues of raising healthcare costs, we understand changing technologies. We have a vested interest in this company. We deserve to be here, to work here, and to retire here !!
Let me guess - you will be back to work on Monday and nothing changes.
Stay out as long as needed - Don't give up anymore jobs
Stay strong and ignore the management and anti-union whining.
Because 3 day strikes have been so effective
Stay Strong! The only way the Company is going to move on our demands is affect their image and bottom line!
Join the movement.... never too late to make the right decision
So what? Little 2 late friends
Technicians in parts of Indiana have also walked.
Eyes rolling at union BS
Engineering, Prem Techs, NDCI as well as all Outside Technicians at AT&T for 4320 should be out
