Employees just let go are the lucky ones, the outsourcing deals that are underway will result in rebadging. Deals to be signed 8/1 and HR will leave as little time as possible between employee notification and effective date for the transition.
Rebadge impact may be good or bad depending on each individual's situation, so consider your options in advance and be ready to act quickly if/when the time comes. HR is doing everything they can to reduce headcount without providing severance packages.
Best option might be to have something lined up already.

So, did anyone in EUS/ Support roles ask their manager if there was anything to this? my Management said something could be afoot, but claimed no decisions had been made yet. Sounded real shady.
@2lzh - I'm not sure what your IT dept does day to day, but my IT department on the left coast takes VERY good care of my retail store.
it appears driving around in circles for mileage, remotely rebooting machines which are basically glorified ad's, and unplugging stuff and plugging it back in can be done with a much leaner crew.
One thing we know for sure...95% of what are on these posts are bogus, the other 5% is a guess.

I can tell you this is true, my family is living this nonsense... My husband was told his IT position with Verizon is no more as of July 1st. The severance he was given was a joke after they take 40% off the top. However thankfully he was hired by the company that is taking over the VZ contract, but then VZ withdraws all severance offers. 30+ employees were let go... IT will be all outsourced very soon.
