There are reps going home without a check each month because stores are over staffed, quotas are unattainable & Verizon is Greedy.
A layoff, downsizing or hourly ONLY has to be in the works. It’s painful to go through each day & witness.
Morals are a non factor when it comes to Verizon.

Crazy. I was one of the SS making $65k - $70k each year before Verizon started up the commission restructure.... bummed for sure, but I’m still going to be fine with the $50k-$60k I’m trending to hit. Our raises this year were phenomenal.
It’s pretty tough now that the market is saturated with people who no longer need cell phones because they all have them. They despise HUM because it’s a “cheap thing, Insurance is not on their agendas & so forth.
Everyone didn’t slam. Verizon was just FAIR at the time...
And then big purchases that kept them in a bind came & SOMEONE had to be released.

Because at this point thats the only way you can make that kind of money is by slamming and misleading customers. Gone are the days of making good paychecks without having to be a scumbag.

It’s pretty pathetic that fellow employees doubt a legitimate claim of making “X” amount of dollars & saying that it’s all SLAMMED & SCAMMED from uneducated people.

Wireless IS in fact dead & Verizon knows what they are doing with quotas to keep the SS away from those numbers. I believe the OP - traffic being down & over staffing means no money for a few legitimate reps.

SS roles aren’t setup to make that much, especially these days. Maybe in the earlier years when you were making more off commissions. Everybody in the company knows that the only way you can “clear” 80-100K is by slamming and scamming.

If you mean: 10-20% of the SS in most stores? Slamming "ghost lines", Hum, Tablets, Jetpacks and TMP to customers that never agreed to buying any of it. If u mean SS taking advantage of folks that are older, non-english speakers etc... than Yes maybe 80k
However, i don't know how much of cool aid you've drank. Verizon has been taking money away from the little guys for a while now by raising quotas, set unattainable goals and b---s--- contest to get the blind and naive SS, SM, GM to get excited for no reason. Therefore They won't get to talk about how f---ed up the commission is...
