Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Goodbye to Layoff.com

I’ve wasted the past week of my life refreshing this board and reading every single comment. A slave to my own neurosis and fear, letting myself get played by one or two trolls. What good is it knowing about a layoff ahead of time? I’ll just go to work and live in the present.

I’d like to say goodbye to some of my favorites here:

-the guy who always tells people to “post on the wireless side”

-the “is no RIF” guy

-the “nice try, troll,” guy

-and my absolute favorite, the union guy who says all the store workers are destined to “work at McDonald’s”

I currently work at a call center that is closing by the end of July. They offered HBA, transfer to another center that will close in a year or two, and severance. With all the changes that have been going on with charging to take payments, and holding disconnects against us. After years working for that company it is just not the same anymore so I'll take the money and run.

Tdx9BQ2 I love the union guy as well. He always seems to pop up and acts so serious. I keep thinking he should say something like do you want fries with your order? Maybe he will see this post and add it to his replies. Wouldn't that be awesome?

Well no one told you to live you’re life on this post lol. As you can see some of it was true. They never said everyone was getting laid off. They said some stores are closing on Sunday’s and some gm’s will be let go. Which has turned out to be true. Now go back to work and enjoy your day.
